Description of feature (short and simple): Allow the use of more than one midi device by being able to work with a USB hub that has more than one USB midi device plugged in.
How will this feature improve the workflow or experience for all SSP users (keep it short and focused): The SSP is very capable of doing MIDI, CV, and MIDI to CV duties. As part of maximizing its already impressive reach, this feature would allow one to potentially remove MIDI to CV modules in their rack. This would mean a sequencer could be plugged into the SSP as well as a MIDI controller. The controller could control things in the SSP, while the Sequencer could be passed out through some of the SSPs outputs (or vice versa).
Of course I suppose as a work around, you would use the SSP for MIDI to CV sequencing via an external sequencer, but have the performance recorded internally on the SSP. Then you unplug the sequencer and plug in your controller. You can now achieve the same thing by playing back the recording while you perform.
So this feature would really just add convenience, and in some cases could allow for control schemes that wouldn’t be possible with just one controller.
