So I was playing with the STE at audio rates, clocked from an LFO, pitch controlled via another STE running at BPM rates and getting some super interesting results.
I was literally drawing in waveforms and creating some chiptunesque vibes. Sounds rad!
So this had me thinking…
What if you could load in the first 4096 samples of an audio file, and interpolate those bit values as step values? I know it’s only 1/10th of a second based on the current 64xP with 64 steps each - but could this yield interesting results?
Or maybe it was a new unique tile called a wave sequencer, where you could grab a few seconds and have more hi-res step control. Then externally modulate the P position… It could get pretty crazy sounding!
Anyway - usual idea spitballing at 4am!
