Description of feature (short and simple): Prevent accidental sample switching
How will this feature improve the workflow or experience for all SSP users (keep it short and focused): Makes programming samples easier.
In the below video at 42 minutes in Matt goes back to the sampler and accidentally switches his kick to a snare. This happens because when you return to the sampler it automatically defaults to sample 1. If you have six samples loaded and you are editing sample six in the step sequencer, effects etc. and decide you want to switch sample six for a different sound. When you return to the sampler it automatically starts at sample one which means if you are not paying attention you do what Matt did (and I’ve done) and change your sample by accident. If the sampler stayed on the last sample loaded this would be prevented. Also, it would be less work since if you are working on sample six and go back to the sampler from any page you now have to click the right button 6 times to get to the sample your editing.
