I am white boarding out an Octatrack style splicer and time stretched decoupled pitch shift plugin.

sounds promising but isn’t that all too much
i mean, everything all at once ?

So I think it would be not that bad — I mean in the simplest thought

  1. load sample or record to buffer
  2. trigger to insert slice point… which opens a slice or ends a slice depending if it ends a pair
  3. trim… so trims everything before first slice point and everything after last slice point.
  4. transient detection on auto-slice points
    5, insert 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 slices
  5. warp. so after trimming allow for a warp to time stretch the sound… either using granular or phase vocoder approach
