Found some photos from last year when I built the SSP into a make noise skiff while preparing for superbooth 2018. I wanted a cheap and simple low-noise setup.
I replaced the stock bus board with a LIBB, and the external brick power supply with a Meanwell RT50B bipolar power supply which I built into the skiff under the SSP. I then wired a mains power cable into the skiff through the DC jack hole after taking out the DC jack. I used a thule to keep the mains power cable in place. I then wired the mains cable to the RT50B and then wired the RT50B with heavy gauge cable to the LIBB (2.5mm diameter copper cable).
The Rosie and SSP were installed using premium eurorack power cables (as shipped with the SSP) while the other modules had standard eurorack ribbon cables. Using premium cables with heavy gauge lowers the impedance in the entire setup which lowers the noise floor.
DISCLAIMER: wiring mains voltages into your case is potentially dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing, so if you undertake a project like this seek help from an electrician.
