the sampler and granular modules can load samples from the card, and you can also load samples in the multichannel recorder on the ssp to do basic editing (crop, normalize, reverse).
the multichannel recorder can record samples with up to 16 channels simultaneously, and you can record both the inputs and outputs of the SSP directly to disk as multichannel WAV files.
all samples are stored in the samples folder on the card and that is also where samples are loaded from.
there is no slicing functionality in the sampler module, but you can crop samples in the multichannel recorder, which is like manual slicing.
Adding automatic slicing using one or more parameters in the sampler is on my todo list.
